24 Things to Excite you for 2024

The end of the year always has me in a sentimental state of reflecting on the past 12 months. I re-play the highlights that made me smile with every 13 muscles or caused me to laugh till my belly ached. Those moments that I was fortunate to share with the people I love most in this world. And the beautiful faces that entered my life bringing with them an abundance of warmth. Even those grey times when I was saddened with a challenge. Each moment carries us to the next and by the end of the year, we should feel proud to be standing at the top of the mountain overlooking the peaks and troughs that we claim as our journey of 2023.

I could have made a blog post on 23 things that made one happy during the year however that would make it feel as if those things have concluded in a one-time manner. And sure some of those moments may not return but the feelings that they provoke most certainly can arise again! Therefore, I am encouraging us to instead of looking towards what made us happy in the past look to what the future will hold. The future where all those experiences are waiting to be lived, memories to be made and people waiting to be met. It’s a beautiful reminder that some of the greatest moments in our lives are yet to be lived.

3. you might fall in love – either with yourself or someone else
4. going on vacation
5. that love is limitless and waiting to be captured and spread
6. ditching New Year’s Resolutions because you don’t need a new year to start anew
7. watching the sun rise and set
8. spending quality time with your family or chosen family
9. kissing
10. the growth of a passion project
11. advances in science that will benefit industries from healthcare to the environment
12. skinny dipping
13. earning money that finances your desired lifestyle
14. the first days of summer
15. cuddling and other forms of physical intimacy
16. wonderful people that will enter your life
17. toxicity that you will remove from your life
18. the first time you listen to a song that will become your new favourite
19. summer days spent at the beach and with that comes the sun kissing your skin and your hair crunching from the salty ocean water
